Showers and storm activity has increased over the past few hours. These storms are associated with an area of low pressure a few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands. The low will move into an environment that is less favorable for development. For the next few days the chance of tropical cyclone formation is decreasing. This system will move westward or west-southwestward across the tropical Atlantic.
Invest 94L may encounter conditions more favorable for development over the western tropical Atlantic by the middle of next week but most models have the area of low pressure only developing into a tropical storm.
