Mitre Corp.'s $3.4 Million Retirement Fee Deal Clears Hurdle

Mitre Corp. secured initial court approval for a $3.4 million settlement aimed at resolving a 12,000-person class action by workers challenging the fees and investment options in their retirement plans.

The deal is slated to provide people who participated in two Mitre retirement plans since June 2016 with between 49% and 57% of their total estimated damages in the case, according to the settlement motion.

Judge Denise J. Casper of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted preliminary approval to the deal in an Oct. 18 order; she also scheduled a Feb. 20, 2025, hearing …
