Property Brothers' hot take on interest rates for homebuyers

With their innate understanding of housing, from real estate to construction to markets, the Property Brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott are the perfect guests to ask about the state of the market.

In Opening Bid’s recurring “Hot Take” segment, Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi asks them about how interest rates might affect the housing market in 2025, to which Drew says that obviously, any cut helps. Jonathan adds that, “In the coming years, you’re gonna see new products that come out to try and incentivize younger homeowners, because my fear is that in 20 years our kids won’t be able to afford to buy a house.”
