I am an investing hobbyist/enthusiast who enjoys research and tends to do way too much of it. Sometimes this leads to uncovering a compelling investment thesis worth sharing. I received my first 401k working a remote part-time job and had no clue what it was. But I had to optimize it, and next thing you know I was elbow deep in Thomas Piketty’s great macro-economic tome “Capital.” The reading never stopped, and over time I accumulated enough knowledge that I decided to start sharing what I knew with others. By trade I work in religion, and have two master’s degrees from Princeton Seminary. Currently I am in the process of joining the Air Force as a chaplain. I look for value wherever I can find it. Currently Amazon and CVR Partners are by far my largest positions, with significant holdings in energy, gold, alternative asset managers, and bitcoin. Selling options on high-IV stocks enhances my overall portfolio returns.
