A steep tumble for shares of UnitedHealth Group Inc. were dragging down the price-weighted Dow Jones Industrial Average Tuesday as the S&P 500 rallied.

Shares of the insurance provider slumped by around 55 points, or around 9%. That 55-point slide alone would take around 362 points off the Dow. The drop was partly offset by gains elsewhere, including a rise of more than 5 points for Home Depot and more than 4 points for Apple and McDonald’s.

The Dow remained down around 165 points, or 0.4%.
