US stocks open higher with economic data, tariffs in focus

Wall Street‘s main indexes opened higher on Monday, ahead of a crucial deadline on tariffs on top trade partners, while investors awaited a number of data reports to gauge the health of the world’s largest economy.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 59.6 points, or 0.14%, at the open to 43,900.49. The S&P 500 rose 13.8 points, or 0.23%, at the open to 5,968.33, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 76.1 points, or 0.40%, to 18,923.358 at the opening bell.
