Having already confirmed plans to do a retirement match this year, Goldberg’s next WWE appearance is reportedly coming very soon.

Per Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com (h/t WrestlePurists), Goldberg will on the Jan. 27 episode of Raw that is taking place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Atlanta is the perfect city to kick off whatever the program will be for Goldberg’s final wrestling match. He spent the bulk of his NFL career playing for the Falcons and has been billed as being from Atlanta during his wrestling career.

When WWE held Bad Blood in Atlanta on Oct. 5, Goldberg was sitting in the crowd and got called out by Gunther. The former WCW champion hopped the barricade to confront Gunther, but security intervened before he could get in the ring.

During a Nov. 2 appearance on SEC Nation (h/t WWE.com), Goldberg announced he would have a retirement match in 2025.

Meltzer noted that Gunther is considered the “probable” opponent for Goldberg’s final match. No date was given for when the bout will happen, but the most likely option would be WrestleMania given the magnitude of the event and Goldberg’s status as a legend.

Goldberg’s most recent match was against Roman Reigns for the WWE universal championship at Elimination Chamber in February 2022. He lost the bout via technical submission due to a guillotine choke.

WWE inducted Goldberg into the Hall of Fame in 2018.
